Repeat elections in district No. 13: candidate nominations will close on January 29

The Central Commission for Elections and Referendums has approved the preparation plan for the repeat elections of deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh in the multi-mandate electoral district No. 13. The voting date is set for Sunday, March 1, 2026.

According to the approved schedule, political parties intending to participate in the elections must notify the CEC of their intention no later than January 2, 2026. The candidate nomination period, for both parties and self-nominees, will last until January 29, 2026, inclusive. The acceptance of documents will close at 18:00 local time.
Candidates must be registered by February 9.
The campaigning period will begin on February 9 and last until 08:00 on February 28. Campaigning will be prohibited on the day before the voting and on the election day.

To participate in the elections, candidates and parties must open special electoral accounts and pay an electoral deposit. The deadline for paying the deposit and submitting registration documents is February 1, 2026, by 18:00.

18.5 million soms will be spent on the repeat elections in district No. 13.
Voting will take place on March 1 from 08:00 to 20:00. The final election results and their official announcement are planned to be completed by the CEC no later than March 15, after which the information will be published in the media.

We remind you that after the early elections held on November 30, the CEC declared the results for the multi-mandate electoral district No. 13 invalid. It was found that observers from candidates had installed cameras at 35 polling stations, which violated the principle of secret voting.
