Marlen Mamataliyev resigned as the head of the Sambo Federation of Bishkek

On February 15, a conference of the "Sambo Federation of the Kyrgyz Republic" was held in Bishkek, where the results of the elections for the new leadership for the coming years were summarized. According to the federation's press service, Marlen Mamataliyev, who recently took the position of speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh, transferred his powers to another deputy of the KR Jogorku Kenesh and a master of sports in sambo, Zhanibek Amatov. However, he did not remain idle: he was elected as the honorary president of the federation.

Important positions remained with the previous leaders: the president of the Sambo Federation of the KR, Aziz Ibraev, the general secretary, Mirlan Akerov, and the head of the executive committee, Murat Arystanbekov, were re-elected for a new five-year term. A new chairman of the board of trustees, Asanbek Alymkhozhoyev, was also elected.

In addition, on February 16, the championship of Kyrgyzstan in sambo wrestling started at the Koyomkul Sports Palace, which will last until February 18. Based on the results of this tournament, the national team will be formed.
