Marlen Mamataliev elected Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh of Kyrgyzstan

At the meeting, the deputies discussed the issue of the new Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The candidacy of Marlen Mamataliev was proposed by the groups "Ata-Jurt," "Ala-Too," "Eldik," "Mekenchil," and "Adilet Kyrgyzstan."

The meeting of the Committee of the entire Jogorku Kenesh was held under the leadership of Kurmankul Zulushiev, who heads the Committee on Constitutional Legislation, State Structure, Local Self-Government, and Regulations.

The Committee unanimously approved the candidacy of Marlen Mamataliev.

After that, the deputies returned to the general meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh for the final vote.
As a result of a secret ballot conducted using ballots, Marlen Mamataliev was elected Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh, receiving the support of 77 deputies.

In this regard, a corresponding resolution of the Jogorku Kenesh was adopted.
