Marlen Mamataliev is an experienced state and public figure, as well as a deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh. He holds the position of leader of the "Yntymak" party and is a member of the committee dealing with budget, economic, and fiscal policy issues.
For three parliamentary convocations, Marlen Mamataliev has represented the interests of his constituents. In the last elections, he became a deputy of the VIII convocation, winning the elections in single-mandate district No. 22 (Pervomaisky district of Bishkek), where he took second place in the number of votes.
