According to a statement by President Sadyr Japarov in an interview with the publication "Kabar," former head of the State Committee for National Security (SCNS) Kamchybek Tashiev does not plan to return to public service.
The president emphasized: "I prefer to resolve any disagreements peacefully. We remain friends, but there will be no return to public office. He needs to rest and take care of his health. Time will put everything in its place. At the moment, he may feel hurt, but later he will understand that this decision was the right one."
Japarov also commented on rumors about the resignations of people close to Tashiev from their positions.
"I did not give any instructions to leave their posts. They should continue to perform their duties and not interfere in politics. If someone decides to leave voluntarily, we will not hold them back. However, inspections will be conducted in all ministries. If any corrupt actions are identified, those responsible will be punished," he added.
"I have always warned: do not appoint relatives and friends to positions. Such people may feel above the law. If theft is proven, everyone will be held accountable, regardless of their status," the president noted.
Japarov also spoke about a meeting with Tashiev after his resignation.
"Last night I met with him. I said: rest, take care of your health. He acknowledged that some 'aksakals' acted behind his back, doing him a disservice. We will restore order. We have enough strength and resources for this," the president concluded.
