
Feridun Sinirlioğlu, the Secretary General of the OSCE, is set to arrive in Bishkek. This information became known after a meeting between the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Meder Abakirov, and the head of the OSCE Program Office in the country, Volker Frobrart.
According to data provided by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, topics of cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe were discussed, and key areas of work for 2026 were identified.
Additionally, the possibility of visits to Bishkek by the Director of the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) and the Representative on Freedom of the Media was raised at the meeting. The Kyrgyz side confirmed its readiness to provide full organizational support.
The diplomats exchanged views on initiatives related to border cooperation and building trust in Central Asia.
