Authorities want to ban the export of limestone-shell rock from Kyrgyzstan for six months.
The ban will apply to certain types of raw materials and products classified under the EAEU HS codes 2515 11 000 0 and 2515 12 000 0. In particular, this concerns unprocessed and coarsely crushed limestone-shell rock, as well as cut blocks and slabs of rectangular or square shape.
The project includes the following measures:
- introduction of a six-month temporary ban on exports outside the EAEU;
- the obligation to notify the World Trade Organization, the Eurasian Economic Commission, and the CIS Executive Committee within three days;
- assignment to the Customs and Border Services to take necessary measures to prevent illegal export;
- cancellation of the previous resolution No. 553 dated September 3, 2025.
The main goal of this document is to prevent the uncontrolled export of important mineral raw materials, which will help preserve the resource base of the country and ensure stability of supplies for the domestic market.
