In Kyrgyzstan, the ban on the export of waste paper has been extended.

The Government of Kyrgyzstan has approved a new resolution regarding the temporary ban on the export of recyclable paper and cardboard, including waste paper and waste. This ban extends the previously existing restriction that was introduced at the end of June 2025.
In accordance with Articles 29 and 47 of the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union dated May 29, 2014, as well as Articles 13 and 17 of the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic "On the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic," the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic resolves:
1. To impose a temporary ban for a period of six months on the export of recyclable paper and cardboard (waste paper and waste) from Kyrgyzstan, except in cases of transit and humanitarian assistance provided by the Cabinet of Ministers. The ban comes into effect three days after the publication of this resolution.
2. The Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic is instructed to notify the World Trade Organization and the Eurasian Economic Commission about the introduction of the aforementioned temporary ban.
3. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic must notify the Executive Committee of the Commonwealth of Independent States about the new ban within three days after the resolution comes into effect.
4. The State Customs Service and the Border Service of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic must take measures to prevent the illegal export of the goods mentioned in the first point.
5. The resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic dated June 27, 2025, No. 364 "On the introduction of a temporary ban on the export of recyclable paper and cardboard (waste paper and waste) beyond the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union" is recognized as having lost its force.
6. Control over the implementation of this resolution is entrusted to the Department of Control over the Execution of Decisions of the President and the Cabinet of Ministers of the Administration of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic.
7. The resolution comes into effect fifteen days after its official publication.
