Foreign Policy 2025. The Foreign Minister Discussed Key Achievements
In Bishkek, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Jeenbek Kulubaev, held a press conference where he summarized the foreign policy activities of the country for the year 2025. This information was published by the ministry's press service.
The minister emphasized that the past year was a period of active and consistent implementation of a multi-vector and pragmatic foreign policy. Kyrgyzstan worked on strengthening political dialogue with international partners, expanded its cooperation at the global level, and focused on protecting the rights and legitimate interests of its citizens abroad.
Among the most significant achievements of 2025, the minister highlighted the successful resolution of the border issue with Tajikistan, effective chairmanship of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Organization of Turkic States and the Collective Security Treaty Organization, as well as the beginning of the chairmanship in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
As for plans for 2026, the minister outlined priorities such as the effective continuation of the chairmanship in the SCO, the development of economic and transport-logistics projects, the expansion of export opportunities, and further protection of the rights of citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic outside the country.
At the end of the press conference, the minister answered questions from both domestic and foreign journalists.
