On March 12, the Jogorku Kenesh approved in the second reading a draft law concerning amendments to the law "On Guarantees of the President's Activities and the Status of the Ex-President."

According to the new draft law, it is proposed to lift the existing ban on allocating land plots on the territory of the presidential residence "Ala-Archa" in cases where this is necessary for the implementation of social programs.

The accompanying note to the draft law emphasizes that this initiative is driven by the need for citizens to access educational institutions. Previously, due to a lack of available land, it was decided to allocate a plot within the main state residence for the creation of social facilities.

Currently, on this territory, which occupies about 10 hectares, a social complex is already functioning. In particular, a school was built here, opened by President Sadyr Japarov, as well as a kindergarten and a medical center.

The goal of the draft law is to align legislation with the already implemented decisions regarding the placement of social facilities on the territory of the state residence.
