In the Kyrgyz Republic, a draft law concerning the allocation of land plots on the territory of the presidential residence is being discussed. This information was announced at a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh by the Deputy Director of the State Agency for Land Resources, Cadastre, Geodesy, and Cartography, Jakshylyk Toktosunov, who presented amendments to the law "On Guarantees of the President's Activities and the Status of the Former President."

According to Toktosunov, the initiative arose in response to a request from the residents of the village of Chon-Aryk to the president.

“Local residents expressed their concern about the lack of educational institutions in Chon-Aryk. Due to the shortage of available land plots, the president instructed to allocate a plot of 10.48 hectares, which belongs to the residence,” the official explained.

The existing law prohibits the allocation of land in this area, so it is necessary to make the required changes to the legislation.

“The allocation of land from the presidential residence will only be possible in cases where such a decision is made by the Cabinet of Ministers at the instruction of the head of state to meet the social needs of the population. The plot will be transferred to the local authorities, where the construction of a school, as well as medical and sports facilities, is planned,” added Jakshylyk Toktosunov.

Some deputies supported this proposal, emphasizing the importance of building social facilities that will remain in state ownership.
