Sadyr Japarov Signed the Law on Ratification of the Agreement for School Construction
This law was approved by the Jogorku Kenesh on January 29, 2026.
The signed agreement aims to attract concessional loans from the Saudi Fund for Development in the amount of 187,500,000 Saudi riyals, which corresponds to 50 million US dollars.
The loan will be provided for a period of 25 years with a five-year grace period and an annual interest rate of 1.5%. Financing will be carried out in US dollars.
The project 'Construction of Public Schools' (Phase II) is aimed at updating and expanding the country's educational infrastructure, improving conditions for obtaining quality education, and eliminating the shortage of places in educational institutions.
As part of the implementation of this project, the construction of 5 new general education schools and 7 additional educational buildings in Bishkek is planned, as well as 2 new schools in the Chui region, with a total project capacity ranging from 150 to 1,000 student places.
