President Sadyr Japarov signed a law concerning the ratification of a loan agreement between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Saudi Development Fund. This document, related to the project "Construction of Public Schools (Phase II)," was signed on October 9, 2025, in Bishkek.

The law was approved by the Jogorku Kenesh on January 29, 2026.

The agreement aims to attract concessional loan resources from the Saudi Development Fund.

The funds will be provided on the terms of a 25-year loan with a 5-year grace period and an interest rate of 1.5% per annum, with financing conducted in US dollars.

Under this agreement, financing is planned for the second phase of the public school construction project, which aims to improve educational infrastructure, eliminate the shortage of student places, and create quality conditions for obtaining general education.

The project includes the construction of five new general education schools and seven additional educational buildings that will join the existing schools in Bishkek. It also provides for the construction of two new schools in the Chui region, each of which will accommodate between 150 and 1000 students.
