The Ministry of Construction, Architecture, and Housing and Communal Services commented on the incident involving the collapse of the roof of a new school built by the "As-Salam" foundation in the village of Min-Bulak, Tyup District, Issyk-Kul Region.

On the night of January 18, due to heavy snowfall, part of the roof of the educational institution collapsed.

The construction of the new school, designed for 150 students and named after Islam Kasmaliev, began in 2023. The project was implemented by the charitable foundation "As-Salam," with the contractor being the company OsOO "Energy-Nur Stroy."

The Ministry noted that the school had not yet been put into operation, as it had not received approval from the Issyk-Kul Regional Department of the State Architectural and Construction Control during the completion of construction and roof installation.

Previously, the department had repeatedly addressed OsOO "Energy-Nur Stroy" with warnings regarding the construction of the school.

As a result of the incident, a written warning was sent to the contracting organization, along with a demand to restore the damaged facility. As of today, the roof of the school has already been restored. A fine of 200,000 soms has been imposed on the company.

Additionally, the issue of temporarily suspending the contractor's license will be discussed at the next commission meeting.

The Ministry added that after the necessary inspections by the authorized bodies and obtaining a positive conclusion, the facility can be officially put into operation by the Issyk-Kul Regional Department of Architectural and Construction Control.
