The Ministry of Construction of the Kyrgyz Republic reported on the measures taken against the contracting company responsible for the construction of the Islam Kasmaliev School in the village of Min-Bulak in the Tyup district, where part of the roof collapsed.

As is known, the collapse occurred on the night of January 18, 2026, due to heavy snowfall.

The construction of the new school, designed for 150 students, began in 2023. The project was built with the support of the charitable foundation "As-Salam," and the contractor was the company OsOO "Energy-Nur Stroy."

Currently, the school has not yet been put into operation, as at the final stage, during the roof installation, the project was not accepted by the Issyk-Kul Regional Department of the State Architectural and Construction Control (Department).

Previously, the Department had repeatedly sent warnings to OsOO "Energy-Nur Stroy" regarding issues related to the construction of the school.

As a result of the incident, the Department issued a written warning to the contracting organization and demanded the restoration of the project.

As of today, the roof of the school has been fully restored. The contractor has been fined 200,000 soms, and the issue of suspending its license will be considered at the commission meeting.

After the necessary inspections by the authorized bodies and receiving a positive conclusion, the Issyk-Kul Regional Department of Architectural and Construction Control will officially put the project into operation.
