The Ministry of Natural Resources plans to take samples of air, soil, and water in the area of the landfill.

At the off-site meeting of the parliamentary groups "Mekenchil" and "Ata Jurt" on January 16, Asel Raimkulova, Deputy Minister of Natural Resources, reported on the plans of the Department of Environmental Control of the Ministry of Natural Resources to gain access to the landfill, including the eco-technological plant that produces electricity from solid household waste.

The Deputy Minister noted that air quality monitoring in the vicinity of the landfill is conducted continuously. "In the near future, we plan to conduct sampling of air, soil, and water. We request to be granted permanent access to the landfill," she added.

The mayor of the capital, Aibek Junushaliev, reported that the plant began its operations on December 28. He also expressed the readiness of the city administration to provide the Ministry of Natural Resources with the opportunity to exercise control over the landfill area.
