According to law enforcement officials, the former head of the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan, Melis Turgunbaev, has been detained. The information was received by the editorial office of Kaktus.media.

Yesterday, March 25, Turgunbaev was summoned for questioning by the investigative service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan as a witness in the case of "Kyrgyzneftegaz".

After the interrogation, he was placed in the temporary detention facility of the Main Department of Internal Affairs of Bishkek.

It should be noted that he previously held the position of Minister of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision.
