In one of the cases, they stole a phone and 200,000 soms from a car
In Bishkek, suspects in a series of car thefts have been detained. According to the Main Internal Affairs Department, they are linked to more than 10 crimes.
The information was provided by a citizen, M.T., who reported to the First May District Internal Affairs Department. He stated that on March 14, 2026, at around 1:00 PM, while he was in a store in the "Kölmö" residential complex, unknown criminals stole a Samsung A17 mobile phone and 200,000 soms from his unlocked Honda Accord. After that, they fled in a Hyundai Sonata.
A criminal case has been initiated regarding this incident under Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
As a result of operational-search activities, officers of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Main Internal Affairs Department detained the suspects: B.K. (born in 2000), N.R. (1996), and E.A. (1991), who had previous convictions and were registered as pickpockets. All detainees have been placed in the temporary detention facility of the Main Internal Affairs Department.
Also identified was a citizen, N.S., who was involved in buying stolen mobile phones at one of the shopping centers. He had 9 phones of various models seized, presumably obtained through criminal means.
The investigation established that the criminals moved around Bishkek in a rented car, choosing unlocked vehicles for theft.
