A Man Entered a Store Leaving His Car Unlocked, and Paid the Price for It
The incident occurred on March 14 in the Kolmo residential area. During lunchtime, a man parked his car near a store and, without locking it, went inside. In the owner's absence, unknown individuals stole a mobile phone and 200,000 soms, after which they fled in a Hyundai Sonata.
This case was registered under Article 205 ("Theft") of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Officers from the operational management of the Bishkek City Police Department were able to detain the suspects. They include three individuals: B.K., born in 2000, N.R., born in 1996, and E.A., born in 1991, all of whom had previous legal issues and were registered as pickpockets. They were placed in a temporary detention facility.
The investigation established that the detainees rent cars and, driving around the city, look for unlocked vehicles. According to the police, they are involved in more than ten similar crimes.
Additionally, law enforcement agencies tracked down a local resident who was engaged in the buying and selling of stolen mobile phones in one of the shopping centers. Nine phones were seized from him, which, according to preliminary data, were stolen.
