Officials from the Chayek Ayil Okmotu accused of illegal land sales

During an inspection conducted by the prosecutor's office of the Jumgal district in the Naryn region, facts of illegal transfer of land plots into private ownership in the Chayek rural administration were revealed. This was reported by the press service of the General Prosecutor's Office of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The investigation established that local officials, taking advantage of their official position, transferred land plots totaling 2.35 hectares to private individuals from 2022 to 2023 without processing applications from citizens and without considering the established order.

Based on these facts, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 337 "Abuse of official position" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. An investigation is currently underway.
