During an inspection conducted by the prosecutor's office of the Jumgal district in the Naryn region, facts of illegal leasing of forest land were established.
The prosecutor's office found that responsible officials of the Jumgal forest enterprise, using their powers contrary to official interests, sought to gain benefits for themselves and third parties from 2019 to 2024.
During this period, fictitious competitions were held for the leasing of forest land plots. Based on forged protocols of the competitive procedures, land plots totaling 104.19 hectares were leased to 49 citizens for a period of up to 49 years.
As a result of the inspection, the district prosecutor's office initiated a criminal case under Article 346 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic (official forgery). Investigative actions are currently ongoing.
