The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported on March 17 that Tai-Muras Tashiev has not been summoned for questioning.

The criminal case related to Article 336 ("Corruption") of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic is currently under investigation. This case was initiated following the publication by the State Tax Service of a report titled "Oil for Themselves: How Kyrgyzneftegaz Was Ruined," which highlights possible illegal actions by employees of OJSC "Kyrgyzneftegaz."

The agency clarified that at this time, Tashiev Jr. has not been questioned in connection with this case.

Tai-Muras is the son of Kamchybek Tashiev, who held the position of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Chairman of the State National Security Committee, and was relieved of his duties on February 10.
