In Naryn, facts of extortion and illegal collection of funds from the heads of schools and kindergartens have been revealed, according to information from the State Committee for National Security (SCNS).
According to the SCNS, employees of the Naryn education department, using their official powers, demanded amounts ranging from 4,000 to 5,000 soms from the directors of educational institutions. These funds were allegedly intended for an inspector from the Audit Chamber to conceal identified financial violations.
During a search of the suspects' office, 68,000 soms were discovered and seized, and a list of 17 educational institutions (schools and kindergartens) in Naryn was compiled, indicating the transfer of funds.
On March 12, the head of the Naryn education department, T.U.S., was detained as part of a criminal case initiated under Article 343, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. The court decided to keep him in custody during the investigation.
The SCNS continues to conduct operational investigative actions aimed at identifying other individuals involved in this crime.
