According to the State Committee for National Security (SCNS) of Kyrgyzstan, facts of extortion and illegal collection of funds from directors of educational institutions in the city of Naryn have been established.
Employees of the Naryn city education department, using their official powers, demanded amounts ranging from 4,000 to 5,000 soms from the heads of educational institutions. These funds, according to them, were intended for an inspector of the Accounts Chamber of the Kyrgyz Republic to conceal financial violations.
During a search in the office of the suspects, 68,000 soms were found and seized, as well as a list of 17 educational institutions (schools and kindergartens) in the city of Naryn with marks indicating the transfer of money.
On March 12, 2026, as part of a criminal case initiated under Article 343, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, the head of the Naryn city education department, T.U.S., was detained and, by court decision, placed in a temporary detention facility until the investigation is completed.
The SCNS continues to conduct operational and investigative activities to identify other individuals involved in this crime.

The record "The head of the Naryn city education department has been detained for extorting money from school and kindergarten directors" was first published on the K-News website.
