According to the investigation, employees of the Naryn City Department of Education demanded from each director amounts ranging from 4,000 to 5,000 soms. This money was allegedly intended for an inspector from the Audit Chamber, who uncovered financial violations.
During a search, officers found 68,000 soms, as well as a list of 17 educational institutions in Naryn, which recorded the receipt of money.
As part of the criminal case initiated under Article 343, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, which pertains to extortion by officials, T.U.S., the head of the Naryn City Department of Education, was detained. He has been placed in a temporary detention facility.
Investigative actions are ongoing.
