During a joint counter-terrorism operation conducted by the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic and foreign partners, a case was identified involving a minor student who was exploring the possibility of an armed attack on his teachers and classmates at one of the educational institutions in the capital.
Special services reported that a criminal case has been initiated regarding this incident under Article 252, Part 1 (Threat of committing a terrorist act) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
In light of alarming facts of religious radicalization among youth, the State Committee for National Security urges parents and educators to continuously inform children about the risks, as well as to closely monitor their hobbies and interests in the global network.
