
A student was studying the possibility of carrying out an attack on teachers and students at one of the capital's schools.
In Bishkek, a possible armed attack at one of the educational institutions was successfully prevented. This was reported by the State Committee for National Security (SCNS).
The special service noted that as part of a counter-terrorism operation involving foreign partners, a minor student was identified who was studying the possibility of attacking teachers and students at one of the city's schools.
In connection with this incident, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 252, Part 1 "Threat of committing an act of terrorism" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The SCNS also emphasized that there has been a recent increase in cases of religious radicalization among youth.
In this regard, parents and educators are recommended to regularly conduct explanatory conversations with children, as well as to monitor their interests and activities on the internet.
