The incident occurred at a depth of about 200 meters
A tragic incident has been recorded in the Batken region: two miners died, and another 19 people were injured as a result of a gas release. This information was provided by the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES).
This incident occurred on March 7 at the mine of Batken Munay LLC, located near the village of Samarkandek in the Batken district.
Thirteen rescuers from the MES mining rescue service were dispatched to the scene. The specialists managed to retrieve the bodies of two deceased miners and one living worker from a depth of about 200 meters, who was handed over to medical personnel.
In addition, 18 miners who suffered from gas poisoning were hospitalized in the Batken district hospital. Their condition is currently assessed by specialists as stable.
