Inspector of the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate Detained in Osh on Suspicion of Fraud

An employee of the State Traffic Safety Department of the Osh City Administration was detained during a joint operation with the Military Intelligence Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs on suspicion of fraud, as reported by the press service of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB).

According to available information, in August 2025, the detainee deceitfully extorted 50,000 soms each from citizens known as "K.Y." and "T.D." by promising to assist them in obtaining driver's licenses. The money was transferred to a mobile wallet provided by the accused.

The employee of the State Traffic Safety Department was arrested on March 4 and placed in the GKNB detention center. The investigation into this case is currently ongoing.

The GKNB reminds that obtaining driver's licenses is only possible on a legal basis.
