A suspect in the robbery of a teenager and extortion has been detained in Osh

According to the data from the juvenile affairs inspection of the "Sulaiman-Too" police department, on February 9, 2026, the detained individual, identified as M. B., stopped an 8th-grade student from one of the local schools and, threatening him, took away his iPhone mobile phone. After that, he identified the victim's home address and began extorting money from him.

The detention occurred when the suspect received 2,000 soms from the teenager. Both the money and a knife were seized from him.

On the following day, February 10, 2026, M. B. was placed in the temporary detention facility of the Osh Department of Internal Affairs. According to the police, the detainee had four previous convictions. Currently, the collection of materials and investigative activities regarding the case are ongoing.
