The detention occurred on February 18, when N.B. was arrested at the National Center for the Protection of Motherhood and Childhood. According to the press service of the Main Internal Affairs Directorate, in October 2024, the doctor made mistakes during the treatment of the minor K.A., which resulted in serious consequences — the amputation of the right leg.
Representatives of the Pervomaisky Court reported that the measure of restraint in the form of house arrest will be in effect until March 16, 2026.
On February 19, at a press conference organized by AKIpress, doctors and members of medical associations in Kyrgyzstan appealed to President Sadyr Japarov with a request to release N.B. under house arrest.
