The body of a shepherd who died under a snow avalanche in Suusamyr has been found

On February 18, rescue services of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) found the body of 59-year-old shepherd D.A., who became a victim of a snow avalanche on February 12 in the village of Kyzyl-Oy, located in the Suusamyr rural district of Chuy region. The extraction of the body from under the snow occurred after several days of intensive searches.

Seventy employees participated in the operation, deployed by the order of the head of the MES, Urmatbek Shamyrkanov.

It is worth noting that 50 sheep and one horse were also caught under the avalanche. The search began immediately after the incident and was conducted in an intensified mode.

The MES of Kyrgyzstan emphasized that work to ensure safety in mountainous areas and to prevent similar incidents continues.
