The investigator of the GKNB in the Chui region, known as Ulan or Vaseline, was detained by officers of the Main Directorate for Combating Organized Crime of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. He is closely associated with Eldar Jakypbekov, the former head of the GKNB in Bishkek. Videos of the detention have gone viral on social media.
It is worth noting that Eldar Jakypbekov was removed from his position and subsequently arrested. By the decision of the Pervomaisky District Court, he has been placed in the temporary detention facility of the GUVD until April 15. The military prosecutor's office has brought charges against him for corruption-related crimes.
