By the decision of the May Day District Court, the former head of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB) of Bishkek, Eldar Jakypbekov, will remain in custody at the temporary detention facility of the Main Internal Affairs Directorate until April 15.

Information about Jakypbekov's detention emerged on February 15, when the military prosecutor's office charged him under the article on "Corruption".

On February 14, there was a change in the leadership of the capital's GKNB, with Ulan Biibosunov becoming the new head. At that time, Eldar Jakypbekov was at the disposal of the personnel department.

Former head of the GKNB of Bishkek Eldar Jakypbekov will be in custody until April 15.
