The press service of the Internal Affairs Department of the Osh region reports a serious violation of service regulations. During operational and preventive measures in the Nookat district, law enforcement officers detained a guard who was on duty with a firearm while intoxicated.
The collected materials have already been submitted to the police, where a preliminary investigation has begun. A narcological examination has been appointed to determine the level of intoxication.
The detention occurred as part of the "Arsenal" operation, conducted from February 12 to 14, 2026. The main objectives of the raid included:
- preventing incidents involving firearms.
- identifying illegally stored weapons.
- informing citizens about the inadmissibility of using weapons in domestic conflicts.
As a result of the raid, in addition to the detention of the guard, 2 units of firearms were seized. Safes containing 16 units, whose owners are absent (12 of them are abroad), were also sealed.
Protocols were drawn up for three citizens for violating the rules of storage and re-registration of weapons. The total amount of fines amounted to 9,000 soms.
