During the raid, violations of the rules for storing and re-registering firearms were discovered. As a result, two traumatic pistols were temporarily confiscated and handed over for safekeeping to the local department of internal affairs. Additionally, after an explanatory conversation, three citizens voluntarily surrendered three smoothbore hunting rifles to the police officers.
Special attention during the raid was given to the prevention of domestic violence. Citizens were informed that illegal storage, carrying, and use of weapons in the context of domestic conflicts can lead to serious consequences for all family members.
The Interior Ministry of the Osh region urges citizens to surrender illegally stored firearms, ammunition, and explosives to law enforcement agencies. In such situations, citizens are exempt from criminal liability.
