Law enforcement searched the homes of 11 suspects in supporting "Hizb ut-Tahrir al-Islami"
On February 10, in the Nookat district, law enforcement officers conducted searches in the homes of 11 individuals suspected of actively supporting and being members of the banned religious extremist organization "Hizb ut-Tahrir al-Islami." This was done as part of an investigation into a criminal case under Article 332 "Manufacturing and distributing extremist materials" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, according to a statement from the press service of the State National Security Committee (GKNB).

During the searches, 217 items were seized, including 75 books, 14 mobile phones, 18 notebooks, 86 DVDs, four tablets, a laptop, two SIM cards, 14 passports of citizens of the Russian Federation, a seal, a video cassette, and a bank card.

The seized materials will be sent for a judicial religious studies examination. After its completion, appropriate measures will be taken regarding the suspects.
