According to the local police press service, this case was registered in the Unified Register of Crimes and Offenses (JUI), which served as the basis for initiating a preliminary investigation.
During the investigation, a suspect was identified — a 53-year-old resident of Karakol, A.M. The investigation revealed that he posted on his Facebook page a post titled "Алтын өндүрүлүүдө, бирок эл жакырчылыкта" ("Gold is being mined, but the people live in poverty").
To conduct a thorough legal assessment of the materials, a comprehensive forensic examination was ordered, including forensic linguistic and religious studies, at a specialized institution under the Ministry of Justice.
The expert conclusion confirmed that the posted materials are related to the activities of the banned organization "Hizb ut-Tahrir al-Islami," which was recognized as extremist by a court decision in 2003.
Based on the collected materials, relevant information was entered into the ERP and a criminal case was initiated under Article 332 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic regarding the production and distribution of extremist materials.
The Karakol City Court decided to place the suspect in custody for a period of one month.
The investigation is ongoing.
