According to the agency, engineer K.M.A. demanded money from entrepreneurs engaged in tourism services in the Ak-Suu district in exchange for reducing the fine for the absence of a seal on the electricity meter. The amount of the bribe has not been disclosed.
K.M.A. is currently in a temporary detention facility in Karakol, and the investigation is ongoing.
