In Karakol, the investigation into the sexual assault claim against a 22-year-old woman has been resumed.
A resident of Karakol, 22-year-old D. A., reported to the city police department on January 30, 2025, stating that she had become a victim of sexual violence by an acquaintance.
This incident was recorded in the information log of the Karakol City Police Department, after which a preliminary investigation began. During the investigation, a forensic medical examination was appointed, and the suspect turned out to be 28-year-old T. B. from the Ak-Suu district.
Later, D. A. contacted law enforcement several times, withdrawing her initial statement. The forensic medical examination found no evidence of rape.
The initial decision on the case was overturned by the prosecutor's office, and the materials were sent for re-examination. The results of this examination also did not reveal any elements of a crime, leading to a refusal to initiate a criminal case.
However, due to a recent video appeal that has become a subject of discussion on the internet, the materials have been re-registered in the information log of the Karakol City Police Department, and a new preliminary investigation is currently underway.
In addition, a separate investigation has been initiated regarding a woman named A., mentioned in the video, to conduct a detailed analysis of the situation and legal assessment.
The police promise to provide additional information based on the results of the investigation.
