Before the New Year in Karakol, teenagers engaged in auto hooliganism: They were detained yesterday.

On January 5 in Karakol, a group of teenagers was detained for engaging in auto hooliganism just before the holidays, according to information from the Traffic Safety Department of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Issyk-Kul region.

It was reported that on December 29, 2025, around 04:00, a video appeared on the internet showing minors driving a car without having the appropriate licenses.

“In response to this incident, the investigative officer of the Traffic Safety Department in Karakol promptly took the necessary measures. As a result, the identities of the teenagers and the car were established. During the inspection, the car owner was fined in accordance with current legislation,” the statement noted.

Additionally, the minors involved in the incident were registered with the juvenile affairs inspectorate of the Karakol City Internal Affairs Directorate. Explanatory conversations were held with their parents,” the agency added.
