Labor migrant who returned from Russia reported to the police about the murder of his wife.

A tragedy occurred in the territory of the Suzak district: a 28-year-old woman was killed by her husband, as reported by the press service of the Internal Affairs Department of the Jalal-Abad region.

On January 3, 2026, the Suzak District Police Department received a call from a 35-year-old man who reported that on the same evening, approximately at 19:55, as a result of a conflict with his wife, born in 1997, he committed murder.

Information about this incident was registered in the Unified Register of Crimes of the Suzak District Police Department in accordance with Article 122 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, which provided grounds for initiating a criminal case.

“During the investigation, in cooperation with the leadership of the Internal Affairs Department of the Jalal-Abad region, the Suzak District Police Department, and the local prosecutor's office, an inspection of the crime scene was conducted. A kitchen knife was seized as evidence, and a forensic medical examination was appointed for the body of the deceased, T. R.,” the official statement noted.

During the investigative actions, it was revealed that the accused, born in 1990, had previously worked in Russia and returned home on January 2, 2026. During the conflict with his wife, he strangled her and then stabbed her several times in the chest, which led to her death.

On January 4, 2026, by court order, the suspect was taken into custody. The investigation is currently ongoing,” the press release states.
