The Ministry of Foreign Affairs helps to return the body of a Kyrgyz woman who died in Malta
According to information from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, a tragedy occurred involving a citizen of the country in Malta. Shortly after receiving the notification, the Kyrgyz embassy in Italy began the process of repatriating her body to her homeland.
Diplomats established cooperation with local authorities and engaged compatriots in Malta to expedite the necessary actions. The embassy is actively preparing documents and coordinating all involved services while maintaining constant contact with the family of the deceased.
As reported by the publication timesofmalta, a 48-year-old woman from Kyrgyzstan lost consciousness in the water at St. George's Bay. Her 23-year-old compatriot was urgently hospitalized.
The incident occurred around 12:40. According to preliminary data, several passersby assisted the Kyrgyz women by pulling them from the water and providing first aid. Later, medical personnel and civil protection service staff arrived at the scene and transported the women to a medical facility.
Unfortunately, the 48-year-old woman passed away, while her younger compatriot is currently in stable condition.
