A sad news story has emerged on social media about a tragic incident in Malta, resulting in the death of a citizen of Kyrgyzstan. According to a man, she was swept away by the sea, while their daughter fortunately survived.

“During the accident, they were swept out to sea, and all personal belongings, including documents and mobile phones, were lost. At the moment, they are in the morgue, and we have no way to contact them. We are far away and cannot provide physical assistance, and we have no acquaintances in Malta. We appeal to all Kyrgyz and Kazakhs in the area. Please, if you have the opportunity to support our daughter, help her contact the police or medical services, respond! Any help is very important right now,” the message on social media states.

The Times Of Malta confirmed this information. It was reported that the tragedy occurred on January 11, when a 48-year-old woman from Kyrgyzstan drowned in St George's Bay.

A 23-year-old citizen of Kyrgyzstan was also with her and was hospitalized with injuries.

According to the police, information about the incident was received around 12:40. The initial investigation showed that several passersby assisted the women who had made it out of the water.
