A 48-Year-Old Kyrgyz Woman Drowned in Malta

A 48-year-old woman from Kyrgyzstan tragically died in St. George's Bay in Malta, reports Times of Malta.

According to information, the incident occurred on Sunday around 12:40 PM. At the time of the incident, the woman was in the water with a 23-year-old compatriot, and both found themselves in a difficult situation while swimming.

Witnesses who saw the incident helped the women by pulling them out of the water and providing first aid until rescue services arrived. Medical personnel and civil protection officers soon arrived at the scene and transported the victims to the hospital.

Despite all efforts by the doctors, the 48-year-old Kyrgyz woman passed away. The condition of the 23-year-old woman she was swimming with is assessed as stable.

An investigation has been launched in connection with the incident.
