On December 29, 2025, a resident of the village of Poltavka, a woman named J.A., born in 1985, contacted the police department of the Jayil district. She reported that her brother J.S., born in 1981, had become aggressive and attempted to kill their mother J.M., born in 1950, on the night of December 28 to 29. This information was provided by the press service of the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of the Chui region.

According to the statement, during the night, J.S. attempted to suffocate his mother with a pillow.

“The victim resisted, after which he struck her several times on various parts of her body. The incident was recorded, and a criminal case was initiated against J.S. under Article 138 ‘Torture’ of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic,” the press release states.
During the investigation, examining the correspondence between J.S. and his wife A.G. on WhatsApp, messages were discovered in which he expressed his intention to kill his mother J.M.,” the statement says.

J.S. was detained as a suspect under Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic and placed in a temporary detention facility. The district court decided to impose a preventive measure in the form of detention for two months.
