In the village of Poltavka, a shocking incident occurred: a man attempted to kill his elderly mother by using a pillow while she was sleeping. This happened on the night of December 28 to 29. The woman resisted, which led her son to start beating her, striking various parts of her body. This was reported by the press service of the Main Internal Affairs Department of the Chui region.
After the incident, the victim contacted the police, which became the basis for initiating a criminal case under Article 138 (Torture) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
During the investigation, law enforcement examined the suspect's correspondence with his wife on WhatsApp and found messages in which he explicitly stated his intentions to kill his mother.
The detained individual was identified as J.S., born in 1981. He was taken into custody in accordance with Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code and placed in a temporary detention facility. The district court chose a preventive measure in the form of arrest for a period of two months.
Necessary examinations have been appointed as part of the case, and the investigation is ongoing.
