A resident of the Jayil District accused her brother of attempting to murder their mother
According to a woman from the village of Poltavka, her brother attempted to kill their 75-year-old mother on the night of December 29, 2025. She informed law enforcement that the man tried to suffocate the woman with a pillow, and when she began to resist, he hit her several times.
This incident was registered under Article 138 ("Torture") of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. The suspect turned out to be 42-year-old J.S., who was detained and placed in a temporary detention facility. The court ordered him to be held in custody for a period of two months.
During the investigation, messages in WhatsApp were analyzed, in which the detainee mentioned his intentions to destroy his mother.
The investigation is ongoing.
