Another "Illegal" raid took place in Bishkek

As part of the operation "Illegal," employees of the Department for Countering Extremism and Illegal Migration of the Bishkek City Police conducted checks on the residences of foreign students. This was reported by the press service of the department.

According to the agency, during the raid, law enforcement officers monitored the presence and validity of documents confirming the identity of foreign citizens, as well as checked the legality of their stay in the Kyrgyz Republic.

"Foreigners were informed about the requirements of Kyrgyz legislation, according to which, when leaving their place of residence, they must carry documents confirming their legal stay. They were also advised not to leave their place of residence without urgent necessity. In case of emergencies, they were offered to call the number 102," the statement noted.

Special attention was paid to explaining the norms of current legislation, according to which foreign students do not have the right to engage in labor activities without the appropriate permit.

Preventive measures to prevent and detect violations of migration legislation will continue their work.
