Bishkek Police Request Foreigners to Carry Identification Documents

On January 7, the press service of the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of Bishkek reported that all foreign citizens must have original documents confirming their identity.

As part of the "Illegal" raid conducted by operatives of the Service for Countering Extremism and Illegal Migration, conversations are being held with foreigners to remind them of the necessity to comply with the laws of the Kyrgyz Republic.

During preventive measures, law enforcement agencies strongly urge foreigners to carry their passport or other identity documents, as well as a work or study visa and a certificate of registration for migration accounting.

Moreover, the police remind that the documents of foreigners cannot be confiscated by the inviting party, whether it be an employer or an educational institution.
